RE/MAX Advances Status as Luxury Leader at AREAA

The increasing interconnectivity of markets presents incredible opportunity for agents with an international focus. It was a key takeaway of the 2016 AREAA Global and Luxury Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii, earlier this month. RE/MAX, a gold sponsor of AREAA, the Asian Real Estate Association of America, demonstrated its role as a leader in the luxury and international sales arena by participating in several expert panels.

Anne Miller, Director, Brand Marketing, The RE/MAX Collection, participated in a discussion on luxury. John Harris, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Honolulu in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dano Sayles, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Lifestyle in Wailea, Hawaii, and Tony Joe, Team Leader at RE/MAX Camosun Oak Bay in British Columbia, also spoke in breakout sessions at the event. Joe currently serves as the president of the Vancouver AREAA chapter.

“AREAA is a tremendous organization connecting agents with Asian buyers and sellers around the world,” said Mike Reagan, Senior Vice President of Business Alliances. “They are a great resource for RE/MAX agents looking to network internationally, and I’m very impressed with what the chapters accomplish on a local level.”

Here’s what RE/MAX Affiliates had to say about their experience:

“Sharing our best practices with some of the most prolific luxury real estate professionals in North America, as well as the Asia/Pacific region, was a career highlight for me.  I’m so pleased that our RE/MAX network has embraced the AREAA mission, and that we are such a large part of the voice in our industry serving this ever-increasing dynamic market.”
John Harris, RE/MAX Honolulu, Honolulu, Hawaii

“Conferences like AREAA help us to expand our boundaries on what is possible in marketing, educate ourselves regarding international trends and instantly put into practice what we’ve learned. A must-attend for those wanting to succeed in the global real estate market and help clients from around the world.”
Lorna Gagnon, RE/MAX Prestige, Honolulu, Hawaii

Dano Sayles, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Lifestyle in Wailea, Hawaii, during the RE/MAX International Reception. Sayles was invited to speak on a panel about cross-border transactions.

“The AREAA convention was illuminating and energizing in many ways. As real estate is both local and global, what’s happening with Asian economies affects our markets, especially in Honolulu where we have a great number of foreign investors. It was interesting to see where luxury marketing opportunities exist. The next time I go looking for international buyers, I’ll start in Singapore, where I learned 1 in 6 households is made up of millionaires.”
Nancee Jenko Crispin, RE/MAX Honolulu, Honolulu, Hawaii

“AREEA is one more tool to show clients that you’re an international agent with a reach that extends beyond many borders.”
Michael Tudorie, RE/MAX Select Properties, Vancouver, British Columbia

“I have developed a great relationship with the local AREAA members and I believe RE/MAX corporate support for the organization will further elevate our name and brand presence in the Pacific/Asia region.”
