RE/MAX Agent Jay O’Brien Named Most Innovative Agent at Inman Connect

Jay O'Brien, Michael Thorne and Jason Miller recognized at Inman Innovator Awards

Congratulations to the RE/MAX agents recognized during the 2018 Inman Innovator awards, which honors the most creative and forward-thinking individuals in the real estate industry.

Jay O’Brien took home the “Innovator of the Year” award in the agent category. Since day one of his real estate career, the co-owner and managing partner of RE/MAX Prestige in Costa Mesa, California has been committed to delivering superior service to his clients. He scored another big win at Inman with the official launch of his start-up, Client Giant. The concierge service delivers branded, personalized experiences to its customers’ clients for a monthly membership fee. It’s just one example of how O’Brien’s innovative approach to customer service is moving the industry forward.

My North Langley, a social media project created by Michael Thorne of RE/MAX Little Oak Realty in Canada, was the runner-up for most Innovative Marketing. Every day in 2017, Thorne posted a new photo capturing the local culture and charm of the community of North Langley, British Columbia. For his next big project, Thorne is making his town a kinder place. His team has released three cards (or “golden tickets”) out into the community with instructions to be passed along with an act of kindness.

Jason Miller, Team Leader of The Miller Team Realtors, was also recognized as a finalist in the Most Innovative Real Estate Team category. Here’s what Inman had to say about the team with RE/MAX Home Sale Services in Detroit, Michigan: “Jason Miller founded Miller Team Realtors to service all of metro Detroit by providing comprehensive listing support, marketing, transaction management and more, but it’s the agent training that really sets the team apart. Miller Team Realtors uses systems and dialogue to train agents, encouraging them to strike out on their own when the time is right.”
