If you’re a luxury home specialist, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., was the place to be this week.

More than 225 RE/MAX Associates who specialize in high-end homes gathered for The RE/MAX Collection Luxury Forum Sunday and Monday. In just its second year, the meeting attracted more than double the amount of attendees last year and featured a robust lineup of speakers.

From Vancouver and California to New Jersey, Texas and Florida, RE/MAX Associates came from around the network, eager to sharpen their luxury sales skills. Hosted at the illustrious Hyatt Regency Pier 66 along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, the Forum was the prime opportunity for networking and education. And in today’s competitive luxury home market, embracing new skills while refining existing ones was a top priority.

Some key impressions shared by attendees:

“I was blown away! The amount of knowledge and ideas shared Monday was amazing. The topics ranged from where to find affluent clients and what their service expectations are to how to secure financing options and, most importantly, how to market luxury listings. My favorite quote of the day was from Laurie Moore-Moore when she said, ‘If you’re going to take your success to the next level, you must decide to go there!’ I am most definitely going there, and I’ll be at the Luxury Forum again next year.”
– Amber French Sewell, RE/MAX 1st Choice Realty, Rincon, Ga.

“At the RE/MAX Europe Convention in Barcelona last week and the Luxury Forum here, I’m seeing the passion RE/MAX Associates have for our luxury brand. It helps us differentiate ourselves in the market. It’s exciting to see so many people growing the luxury side of their business and thinking more globally about how they position their listings.”
– James Upton, RE/MAX Crest Realty Westside, Vancouver, British Columbia

“The Forum was a great networking experience, and I already gave a referral to another RE/MAX colleague. The RE/MAX Collection brand creates confidence and strong brand awareness, which will bring us more business.”
– Hector Vidaurre, RE/MAX Premier Associates, Weston, Fla.

“What an eye-opening experience! I gained spectacular insights into the amazing opportunities that exist in our market. There are so many amazing resources available to us through The RE/MAX Collection, as well as the network’s broad reach across the globe. This was definitely productive time for me.”
– Ron Rocz, RE/MAX Showcase Homes, Birmingham, Mich.

I would like to become a RE/MAX Luxury Real Estate agent.
I am also a pilot thus I take aerials of all my listings and this would play into the luxury end of the RE/MAX Luxury Forums.
