READY TO RISE: Refresh Resources Revealed at the BOC

Agents choose RE/MAX for a reason: It’s a brand that’s constantly innovating and evolving, with a culture of productivity that attracts the best.

As RE/MAX Co-CEO Adam Contos told the crowd at the opening general session of the 2017 BOC in San Francisco, “You’re RE/MAX. You get up every day and attack mediocrity.”

Refreshed, updated branding will strengthen that attack.

A bold new brand

What do you do to if you want to stay #1? You evolve.

In an energetic Opening General Session – renowned Texas Broker/Owner Mark Wolfe called it “one of the best opening sessions in the 36 years I’ve been with RE/MAX” – Contos and other leaders unveiled what attendees later described as a “crisp,” “clean” and “modern” refresh of all residential, commercial and luxury branding. The reveal included everything from yard signs to print products to the iconic RE/MAX Balloon. Attendees were excited by the change.

“The new brand shows everyone we’re thinking about the future,” said Lorena Teer, Manager of RE/MAX Integrity in Eugene, Oregon. “I think it’s clean and much more modern.”

“I think evolution is a great description for it,” added Scott Woods, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Metro Realty in Charlotte, North Carolina. “It’s a sign of RE/MAX moving forward, and being proud of its presence in the market.”

During the opening session, the brand was showcased across a variety of platforms. Woods was especially intrigued by the digital possibilities.

“As I started to see the new branding in its different forms, it really clicked,” he said. “The new logo looks great across digital platforms and will really speak to Millennials. It made me proud to be with RE/MAX.”

As more great news was announced at the conference, it was clear the groundwork was set to – as Contos said – “bring the new brand to life right out of the gate.”

Serious discounts on yard signs and more

For RE/MAX agents, the most entrepreneurial in the business, the yard sign is a critical advantage in promoting themselves while aligning their business with the #1 brand in real estate. RE/MAX leadership couldn’t agree more.

“The most important form of advertising we have is our yard sign – it’s our calling card,” Pete Crowe, Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing, said during the unveiling. “Every day we’re trying to get sellers to put our sign in front of their house, to align their personal brand with us, he said. We went straight to the people who are going to put these new signs in their yard to see what they wanted. This is it.”

As a result of intensive market research, a new, vertical residential sign option was unveiled. It marked a big step forward, according to Denise Swift of RE/MAX Performance in Centerville, Ohio.

“It gives a lot more space to the agents. RE/MAX is already a well-known brand, and the new sign helps us promote our personal brand along with it,” she said.

To help agents take advantage of the enhanced branding right away, RE/MAX, LLC negotiated limited time discounts – up to 50 percent off with some Approved Suppliers – on everything from yard signs to office supplies.

While the BOC event revealed the new look, September 20 is the official celebration date of the brand refresh.
