Two remarkable Regional Directors are celebrated for global leadership
RE/MAX recognizes Global Regional Directors whom are providing leadership, developing business and managing the day-to-day operations for a region in order to create the best atmosphere in which associates can thrive.
Taehoon Kim: Setting the standard for RE/MAX Korea
There’s no question RE/MAX Korea wouldn’t be where it is today without the Dynamic leadership of Taehoon Kim, a 2016 Regional Director of the Year.
Kim leads the region’s training initiatives and has worked tirelessly to translate Momentum materials, RE/MAX University videos and many other professional development resources to Korean. His effort to make training resources easily accessible has maximized the engagement of Broker/Owners and Sales Associates alike. The result: greater skills and enhanced abilities throughout the region.
“Kim always goes the extra mile, and he somehow seems to make the impossible possible,” says RE/MAX Korea Region Owner and CEO Harry Shin. “His passion for the RE/MAX brand is contagious, and when you talk to him, you get instantly excited about where we are today and where we’ll be tomorrow.”
Kim is the point person for communication between the regional team and the Korean membership. He creates big-picture vision but is also quick to dive into details if he can help a Broker/Owner or Sales Associate address an immediate issue. That combination and commitment makes Kim an ideal leader and role model for the entire team, Shin says.
“Everyone is comfortable asking him for help, because he brings a service-mindset to his role,” Shin says. “He’s everything we want our region to be, and we wouldn’t be what we – or who we are – without him.”
Corinna Mansell: Passion and teamwork fuel her success
Corinna Mansell’s tremendously successful real estate career has reached an even higher level of achievement: She’s been named a 2016 Regional Director of the Year for her incredible leadership of RE/MAX New Zealand.
“This award is an incredible honour, and I share it with the entire regional staff,” Mansell says. “This highlights RE/MAX New Zealand’s place on the real estate world stage, and it says a lot about what we’ve all accomplished together – the membership and the regional team.”
Mansell was already a major real estate success when she arrived at RE/MAX. As a sales agent, she held 98 percent market share for nearly 15 years. She bought her first real estate office in 2001 and, during the next seven years, grew her brokerage to seven locations. The firm went from five percent market share to more than 70 percent.
Still, she says, joining the entrepreneur-minded RE/MAX New Zealand region was a new high point.
“I’ve always been passionate about my work – through sales, property management, business management, business ownership, business mentoring and development,” Mansell says. “But the opportunity to head RE/MAX New Zealand has been a defining moment in my career. I’ve truly reached the top.”
